Nihilistic Violent Extremism Working Group
Nihilistic violent extremism (NVE) is rapidly becoming a prominent concern in the P/CVE landscape. The emerging threat posed by NVE is multifaceted and addressing it will require the input and involvement of individuals from a broad range of disciplines, including areas that have not traditionally been associated with violent extremism, such as child sexual exploitation and child trafficking, self-harm, emergency medicine, and veterinary sciences.
The goals of the Nihilistic Violent Extremism Working Group (NVEWG) are to bring together individuals from across various disciplines to:
- Better understand and define NVE.
- Help produce materials, such as 2-page explainers and mini guides, that are tailored to particular audiences.
- Develop and conduct research in consultation with all our partner so that it will be practical and relevant.
